Performance indicators

We measure the extent to which we are achieving our purpose according to a set of performance indicators that focus on:

  • integrity
  • willing participation
  • revenue
  • productivity.

These areas of focus and the indicators themselves are based on internationally recognised performance indicators developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). When taken together the impact results provide a high level indication of the health of our administration and effectiveness in achieving our purpose.

While our performance indicators are categorised according to the above areas of focus, performance across the different focus areas is inter-related. For example, some indicators of willing participation and revenue performance have a direct bearing on the integrity of the tax system.
