Getting the culture right

Through extensive consultation and co-design with staff, we have identified a desired future culture that will support the Reinventing the ATO program. Our desired culture has five key traits:

  • client focused
  • passionate and committed
  • future oriented
  • empowered and trusted
  • united and connected.

By focusing on these five traits, we are building a culture that is service oriented, pragmatic and adaptable.

Complementing our desired culture is a new leadership model that promotes leadership as a practice and is designed to build strong, self-aware, flexible and agile leaders. Through our Leadership Strategy, we acknowledge the need for our senior leaders to lead by example and guide people to adopt the new mindsets, attitudes and behaviours that embody our key cultural traits.
