NOTES

The plans and results include both direct and indirect revenue outcomes.

The liabilities and cash estimate have been updated with adjusted outcomes only available since the tabling of the annual report 2013–14.

These corrections do not impact the Budget or our financial statements.

Our Improving GST Voluntary Compliance program continued in 2015–16 with positive results. Compliance activities funded through the program raised $935.3 million in GST liabilities, while debt collection activities recovered $354.1 million in GST. These results exceeded the full-year commitments of the program by $498.2 million and $314.9 million respectively. We have continued to see improved business activity statement lodgment rates and a decreasing rate of growth in collectable GST debt as the program has progressed.
